Featuring expert speakers and documentary footage, this forum will examine issues relating to the recognition of human rights with respect to SOGI, and explore the tension between the ‘universal values’ of which Ban Ki Moon spoke and the religion, culture and politics of countries in our region. As well as looking at developments at the United Nations, countries under particular examination will be Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
