Business Research Information for Staff

The RMIT University College of Business encourages and supports the research activities of academic staff and faculty in a variety of ways including a range of internal grants and funding opportunities, regular seminar series, support for conference attendance. The Business Research Office and Business Research Development Team assist in achieving research grants and high-quality publications.


Research Capacity Building Team

The aim of the Research Capacity Building Team (RCBT) is to support and raise the College of Business research profile by:

  • Mentoring staff on submissions to Category 1 research funding schemes & top tier journals.
  • Running specialised workshops for grant submission & career development.
  • Providing one-on-one advice on research.

Research Tender and Grant Applications

You should discuss any application with your Deputy Head of School (Research) prior to commencing writing. All applications must be approved by the PVC Research and Innovation before submission, so be sure to allow enough time.

The Business Research Office can help with writing tenders and applications and budgeting.
