Business Research Information for Staff
The RMIT University College of Business encourages and supports the research activities of academic staff and faculty in a variety of ways including a range of internal grants and funding opportunities, regular seminar series, support for conference attendance. The Business Research Office and Business Research Development Team assist in achieving research grants and high-quality publications.
The aim of the Research Capacity Building Team (RCBT) is to support and raise the College of Business research profile by:
- Mentoring staff on submissions to Category 1 research funding schemes & top tier journals.
- Running specialised workshops for grant submission & career development.
- Providing one-on-one advice on research.
One way in which College of Business academics build on their research experience and skills set is by becoming a research student supervisor.
You should discuss any application with your Deputy Head of School (Research) prior to commencing writing. All applications must be approved by the PVC Research and Innovation before submission, so be sure to allow enough time.
The Business Research Office can help with writing tenders and applications and budgeting.
Research Grants and Funding Support resources are available through the Research and Innovation page.
The College of Business is committed to facilitating research engagement and manages a range of schemes designed to assist staff with their research activities. Check this page regularly for updates on research funding opportunities, time release to complete qualifications and expressions of interest for various research panels and teams.
