The Education Abroad Office
A team of friendly and dedicated staff assisting visiting students and RMIT students to have a safe, enjoyable and academically rewarding global experience, both at RMIT and abroad, through short term and semester length exchange and study abroad programs.
The team works towards achieving the goals of the Universities 2010 Strategic plan in making RMIT a truly global University by; building strong and fruitful relationships with overseas industry partners; supporting visiting students throughout their stay at RMIT; and guiding and supporting RMIT students to have an experience of a lifetime by spending part of their program at an overseas institution. We aim to provide a diverse choice of student mobility programs.
What we do
- Manage all RMIT student mobility programs; incoming and outgoing
- Support RMIT staff in the provision of short term overseas study programs
- Establish exchange and mobility agreements
- Promote mobility to RMIT students and our partner institutions
- Manage Travel Grants and various scholarships
- Offer personalised assistance with enrolment for our incoming students
- Provide personalised assistance to all RMIT students in selecting the most appropriate mobility option
- Run Orientations and Pre-Departure sessions
- Provide on-going support throughout a students stay in Australia and to our
- RMIT students while they are overseas
- Send out Academic transcripts
- Provide a resource area
- Provide a free airport pickup service to incoming students through our International Services office
