The RMIT Ombuds
Confidential and independent review of unresolved complaints
The Role of the University Ombuds
RMIT aims to ensure that all student and staff complaints or concerns are dealt with in a fair, equitable and appropriate manner. The RMIT Ombuds provides an avenue of confidential and independent review for staff and students who have unresolved complaints. The Ombuds is not an advocate but aims to mediate and conciliate disputes with a focus on systemic improvement. The Ombuds has extensive academic and administrative experience in the tertiary education sector.
The easiest way to contact the Ombuds is to email or phone with your complaint. The Ombuds will contact you once your complaint is received to either talk with you on the phone about your complaint or ask you in for an interview.
