Office of the Academic Registrar

The Office of the Academic Registrar supports the Academic Registrar's Group (ARG) by providing expertise in academic planning, project management, finance and communications.

The Academic Registrar’s Group (ARG) supports core activities that relate to the RMIT student lifecycle - from admissions through to graduation - and is responsible for delivering academic policies, systems and services that support teaching, learning and research within a quality management framework.

RMIT Vietnam has its own student and academic services group that works closely with the ARG in Melbourne to administer an equivalent level of support and services for students and staff at RMIT Vietnam.

There are four key work areas within the ARG:

  • Planning and projects, which includes ARG Communications.
  • Student administration, which is responsible for the central student administrative functions of the University and supports the academic portfolios in the delivery of quality administration.
  • Student systems and processes, which provides systems support to business processes, including help with configuration, compliance and documentation.
  • Academic policy and governance, which is responsible for policy development, interpretation and implementation, including assessment support and management of University complaints.
