Expert comment on the VCE
Professor Annette Gough, Head of the School of Education at RMIT University, is available for expert comment on proposed changes to the Victorian Certificate of Education.
Education Minister Martin Dixon will outline his plans for reforms in a speech today, with options including replacing some exams with a thesis and introducing a senior qualification, the Victorian Baccalaureate.
The changes aim to make Year 12 more relevant to the skills required for the workforce.
Professor Gough is an expert on teaching VCE, with research interests including curriculum development and policy.
She has published on study pathways for "work ready" graduates and transitions from school to work.
