New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS)

The best part about owning my business is the flexibility and control it gives me to pursue what I love. NEIS has given me business management skills which were seriously lacking in life before NEIS!

NEIS gave me insight into what is required legally, financially and emotionally to operate my business as well as providing ongoing support whenever I need it.

NEIS has given me the knowledge and confidence to pursue my own path in life. A great team of people behind a great initiative!

Instead of focusing my attention on covering my living expenses, NEIS has allowed me the time and financial freedom to pour my energy into beginning my business. Creating a business plan through the NEIS course gave me a firm foundation upon which I have been able to reliably manage my business over this past year.

The NEIS project has benefited me greatly enabling me to consolidate my practise into a functioning business. The program assists with a pragmatic and efficient approach to small business operation which has been particularly helpful to me working in an arts industry.

I suppose starting a new business is like giving birth to a child, it’s painful and you expect to lose money in your first year. Now thanks to Dept of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) I have a business baby sitter- so I won’t have to put it up for adoption.

NEIS taught us the importance of detailed business planning and gave us the tools to be able to do it really well. From marketing to taxes, nothing in the operation of our business is nearly as scary as it would have been without this course.

NEIS has given me the financial support, great small business training and excellent mentor support. In the future I see myself having fun doing Drumclub and expanding my business.
