If you would like to be an exchange student at RMIT University, you will need to have completed at least one full year at your home institution, with the following requirements. You must:

You can design your own program by selecting courses from cross any of RMIT’s disciplines as long as you have the necessary prerequisites. RMIT offers diplomas, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Courses of diploma programs are best suited to students from community colleges, vocational or technical institutions.

Once your application has been received, if all is correct and you are eligible, your study plan will be forwarded to the relevant academics at RMIT for approval. This process may take a few weeks.
A list of pre-approved courses will be sent to you in your offer letter. While you have been pre-approved for these courses, your enrolment will take place during your orientation at RMIT and is subject to timetable availability and any last minute changes.
In order to accept your offer, you will be required to return your acceptance form including the payment details for your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). All students (except for Norwegian Insurance Scheme cover holder or a Swedish national with cover through Swedish National Board of student Aid (CSN).) must purchase this insurance in order to obtain your student visa.
Once the health insurance has been processed, RMIT will send you an electronic confirmation of enrolment and from here on you are eligible to apply for a student visa.
Students enrolled in the Exchange Program do not pay tuition fees to RMIT University but continue to pay fees to their home institutions.
Cost of living can vary according to the type of accommodation, the number of people living in the accommodation and the location.
You can use a currency converter to calculate the amount in your own currency. Remember to add your program fees and airfares to get a realistic total.
