Honours work

This Honours program allows highest achieving students to undertake substantial, year long projects on specific, research relevant topics. It utilises a laboratory and studio model with state of the art resources to let the brightest and most engaged students achieve the sorts of things that establish reputations and demonstrate abilities relevant to future careers. You will study major topics relevant to contemporary media and communication, and leverage your undergraduate specialisations and abilities to develop sophisticated research and project skills. The abilities that honours teaches are showcased through your project outcomes which are examined by key people in industry and academia.

Honours is recognised by industry as an indicator of outstanding ability, and honours students routinely gain entry to their preferred careers as a direct result of the research projects they have successfully completed through honours. Honours is also the traditional pathway for students wishing to undertake further research, by either a Masters by Research or a Doctorate (PhD).
