Strong team from SMGS at EMAC2009

The School of Mathematical and Geospatial Sciences' Computational and Applied Mathematics Research Group sent a strong group of four academics and four students to EMAC2009, the 9th Engineering Mathematics and Applications Conference, held at the University of Adelaide from 6 to 9 December.

In all, seven papers were presented at the conference.

Two of the students earned Certificates of Merit (accompanied by a book prize) for their presentations.

They were Mr Colin Chen: "Blood flow in stenosed arteries using bidirectional fluid-structural interaction simulations" and Ms Ekanayake Sudharshani: "Flow simulation of a 2D rectangular supersonic convergent divergent nozzle".
