The School of Media and Communication’s Website for WIL provides information and resources for staff, students and industry to do WIL ethically and to learn about ethical and professional practice through WIL.

This website may be useful for others within as well as beyond the creative disciplines and so we invite and encourage all to use and adapt it as needed.

This site is a direct response to the emerging need within the School for comprehensive information about WIL and for a set of useful resources.

You will find:

  • Practice-based WIL learning scenarios that cover various ethical issues for staff, students and industry to work through
  • RMIT WIL policy and procedures
  • Easily accessible forms and checklists and a knowledge bank of resources that staff, students and industry can use to enhance their WIL experiences
  • Guidelines and tips for managing WIL activities

The site has been supported by an RMIT Learning and Teaching Investment Fund grant.

A number of projects have been supported, including: WIL in the Creative Industries: Ethics and Professional Practice in Coursework Programs.

The project team included staff from the School of Media and Communication, the Design and Social Context portfolio and the Learning and Teaching Development unit. WIL Project, team and acknowledgments.
