1. Accept or defer your offer

To secure your place at RMIT University, you need to either:

If, by the deadline specified in your offer letter, you do not accept your offer by enrolling at RMIT, or do not reserve your place by deferring, your offer will be cancelled and your place may be offered to someone else.

Note: If you have already enrolled in courses and wish to suspend your studies you will need to apply for a leave of absence.

2. Enrol

Before you enrol

What you need to enrol

  • Your offer letter and enrolment publications.
  • Your enrolment program structure.
  • Your tax file number – if you are accessing Commonwealth assistance.
  • Proof of your citizenship/immigration status, e.g. passport, birth certificate, or citizenship number (domestic students only).
  • A form of photo identification such as a driver’s licence, passport or Keypass.
  • Your Victorian Student Number (if you have one – TAFE students only).
  • A pen.

How to enrol

To enrol online you need to log in to myRMIT and click on the link to Enrolment Online. You can enrol online at any time before the deadline in your offer letter.

If you need to enrol via the paper-based process this will be stated in your offer letter and you will enrol at your enrolment information session.

Assistance and support

For advice about your program or courses, please attend your enrolment information session or contact your school.

For assistance with enrolling online:

  • go to a designated computer lab after your enrolment information session for specialist support. A flyer will be distributed at your enrolment information session with lab locations.

Note: The first time you login to myRMIT:

  • your username is the letter ‘s’ followed by your student number stated in your offer letter, and
  • your password is the letter ‘p’ followed by your date of birth backwards, e.g. if you were born 13 July 1992 your password would be p19920713.

3.Connect

After you have enrolled, visit the Current students website for information about the administration of your program and services for students including Orientation activities.
